It's Fantasy Seaoson - Let's Make Dragon Eggs

Eight Legged Freaks is one of those movies that screams absurdity, but is fun to watch. The tagline: Let the Squashing Begin, speaks for itself. Released in 2022, this movie reminds us of Night of the Lepus!

Years ago we made these spider snacks for the first time, and have made them almost every Halloween since. They are easy, and even the youngest picky eater will like them.  The filling can be anything that will hold the pretzel “legs”.

Scary Spider Snacks

Spiders are not my thing, but these guys are cute and taste delicious and super easy to make! Halloween themed and a perfect size for a pre-party snack or to pair with your next movie night with Eight Legged Freaks. BRB. I need to get some Raid.

Ingredients

  • Ritz crackers
  • 8 oz Cream cheese
  • 8 oz 2 cups Shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Blue Cheese crumbles
  • Pretzel sticks thin
  • Raisins or dried Cranberries
  • Nutella or Peanut butter optional to cheese filling

Method

To make the spider filling
  1. Combine the cheeses in a large bowl and knead.
  2. Add the Worcestershire sauce and knead again.
To assemble the spiders
  1. Break the pretzel sticks into small pieces
  2. Place a layer of the cheese mixture on a cracker and cover with another cracker
  3. Add eight pretzel pieces to each cracker sandwich by inserting them between the crackers
  4. Add eyes by placing two raisins or cranberries on top of a drop of the cheese mixture on the top of the cracker.
  5. Optionally, you can fill the spiders with Nutella. We suggest using very cold Nutella or peanut butter
