Method
3 hours before baking:
- Soften butter
The Bundt Cake Pan
- (See below for where we got ours)
The cake mix
- Preheat oven to 375
- Combine dry ingredients (flour, salt, sugar, cornstarch, baking powder) and sift together into a bowl
- Add butter, orange juice, vanilla, and eggs folding ingredients together
- Add half and half, sour cream and blend at low speed until incorporporated
- Gently fold in cranberries with a spatula. DO NOT USE A MIXER
- Grease your bundt cake pan. We use a brush and coconut oil to get into every nook and cranny.
- Pour the batter into the bundt cake pan to 3/4 level. Do not overfill.
- Bake for 20 - 25 minutes using the toothpick check (Batter may be moist, but will not stick to the toothpick)
- Let cool for 2 hours
- Gently remove the cake from pan on a serving plate and drizzle with honey
Notes
The bundt cake pan we used was Nordic Ware and I have posted the link in the images section. I use this cake pan for many summer and spring recipes, but it works especially nice for the horror classic, Candyman.
