Ingredients
Method
- Grease of set parchment liners in the loaf pan
- Make the cake mix according to box directions, but add 1/4 cup of flour to it.
- Pour batter into mini loaves about 3/4 full - DO NOT OVERFILL - and bake according to box directions
- Crush Nilla waters by placing them into a plastic storage bag and rolling a tall glass over them. The affect you are looking for is small crumbles, not cookie dust.
- Once the "graves" (loaves) are cooled, using icing to cover the top. Be generous with your icing, but don't make it thick.
- Sprinkle your "dirt" ( crushed cookies ) on top
- Using your Graveyard decorating kit, sprinkle on bones, and write epitaphs for your movie characters
Notes
There are few things that are as fun as baking with kids, and this recipe is perfect for them. There are hands on ways they can help, and decorate.
This recipe is also a perfect edition to add to a movie night where you know that a character will die, or be written off the show.
We made these while watching the series "From" on MGM+ at the beginning of season 4 to show our delicious love for all the characters who succumbed to the creatures! ( RIP Jim. )

Mini Loaf Baking Pan (this one has 8 loaves and parchment liners, which I love. If you don't use parchment, grease very well before adding batter)
This a versatile recipe that pairs with multiple shows and movies!
