The idea of gravestones on a grave, could apply to so many movies, but we have chosen Pet Sematary because Church was one of the best cats in movie history.
It’s an easy recipe to make, and we have made it countless times, used yellow, and chocolate cake mix and experimented with lots of cookie crumbles. Feel free to add your own flare.
Pet Semetary Gravestones for Church
Halloween in coming! (Perpetually at our house) So let’s kick off with a simple and fun recipe to make for your next party.
Make the cake mix according to box directions, but add 1/4 cup of flour to it.
Pour batter into mini loaves about 3/4 full – DO NOT OVERFILL – and bake according to box directions
Crush Nilla waters by placing them into a plastic storage bag and rolling a tall glass over them. The affect you are looking for is small crumbles, not cookie dust.
Once the "graves" (loaves) are cooled, using icing to cover the top. Be generous with your icing, but don't make it thick.
Sprinkle your "dirt" ( crushed cookies ) on top
Using your Graveyard decorating kit, sprinkle on bones, and write epitaphs for your movie characters
Notes
There are few things that are as fun as baking with kids, and this recipe is perfect for them. There are hands on ways they can help, and decorate.
This recipe is also a perfect edition to add to a movie night where you know that a character will die, or be written off the show.
We made these while watching the series “From” on MGM+ at the beginning of season 4 to show our delicious love for all the characters who succumbed to the creatures! ( RIP Jim. )
This a versatile recipe that pairs with multiple shows and movies!
