Method
- Brown the ground beef or pork and set aside.
- Cook the pasta noodles add to the beef / pork and mix well.
Sauce
- Add olive oil, chopped yellow pepper, and garlic to a large pot and cook for 4-5 mins on low heat.
- Add tomato past and mix very well to incorporate.
- Add red pepper flakes, paprika, salt and pepper. Heat to just bubbling.
- Add pasta sauce and simmer for 5 mins.
- Add pasta and meat to the sauce and cook on low for a few more minutes.
- Add butter and let melt just before serving.
Notes
Spice levels on this dish can be throttled with more or less red pepper flakes and more or less paprika.
For kids, just use meat, pasta sauce, and maybe the yellow pepper. We used to make both by just pulling a little pasta and beef out and serving it with pasta sauce, without spices.
Once this recipe is done, throw it in the slow cooker on warm, to keep the dish ready for hours.
